I’ve always loved transforming spaces. What started as decorating my own house and porch quickly grew into something more. After friends and family came to me for design ideas and neighbors complimented my porch designs, I created Red Wagon Pumpkins in 2024 to share my creativity with others and bring joy to their homes. While I work a corporate job throughout the year, Red Wagon Pumpkins is my creative outlet and childhood dream come true.
I can remember as a young kid going to my local craft store weekly to buy an array of decorative papers because they had an entire wall of designer papers in every color and pattern. I loved the fun designs and vibrant colors to use for my next craft project. I wanted to share this excitement with everyone and set out selling them by going door to door throughout my neighborhood. Today, my hope is to bring this same feeling of joy with every pumpkin.
This isn’t just a side project; it’s a passion. Each pumpkin is hand-picked, and every display is designed with care and attention to detail. How do I book a display?
It's easy! Visit the Shop, choose your favorite package, select your preferred delivery week, select add-ons if you'd like, and we'll handle the rest!
Where do you deliver, and what is your delivery fee?
We deliver throughout all of Connecticut and neighboring counties in New York and Rhode Island. Our delivery fee is included with each package. No extra delivery fees!
When should I schedule my pumpkin display delivery?
We offer delivery windows as early as the week of September 13–20 and as late as the week of October 25–31. Earlier deliveries allow you to enjoy your display longer, but pumpkins and mums are natural products and may not remain at their peak appearance throughout the entire season. If you're looking for the freshest display possible for Halloween, a later delivery date may be the best option or select the Pre-Halloween Refresh option during checkout!
Will my pumpkins last the entire season?
Generally, most pumpkins will last through Halloween and many will still look great through Thanksgiving. Depending on weather conditions, sunlight exposure, moisture, and temperature fluctuations, an occasional pumpkin may soften or decline sooner than others. We source premium-quality pumpkins from trusted local farms and continuously replenish our inventory throughout the season to ensure we are selecting from the freshest harvest available.
How do you help pumpkins last throughout the season?
Before installation, we carefully inspect every pumpkin by hand and clean them using a mild vinegar solution, which helps reduce surface bacteria and mold growth. During installation, we spray the pumpkins with a peppermint-based deterrent to help discourage critters from eating them.
Do you offer a refresh service before Halloween?
Yes! Our Pre-Halloween Refresh is designed for customers who want their display looking its absolute best for trick-or-treaters. During the week before Halloween, we will return to replace any pumpkins or mums that are no longer looking their best, tidy the display area, and re-style the arrangement to ensure it looks fresh and festive for Halloween.
Can I customize my display?
Yes! We specialize in personalized designs. Whether you have a specific vision or need inspiration, we’ll create a display that reflects your style. You can even upload photos of your space or an inspiration photo you love for a personalized recommendation. Simply complete our Custom Quote Form and we will contact you to bring to life a custom design that you love!
Do I need to be home during setup?
Not at all. Although we would love to meet you during the design setup, you don’t need to be home. We’ll set up your display seamlessly, whether you’re home or not. When the season ends, you have the option for us to even take care of the cleanup.
If I wish to setup my own pumpkin display (DIY), do you offer delivery of pumpkins only with no design setup?
Yes, absolutely! Please fill out our Custom Quote Form with details of your request and we will contact you to discuss a custom DIY option for delivery only! Delivery-only packages are more affordable than our full-service design packages.
Can you incorporate pumpkins, lanterns, or other décor I already own?
Yes, absolutely! We love incorporating existing pumpkins, lanterns, planters, and other seasonal décor into your custom design. Simply leave the items you'd like included on your porch before your scheduled installation, and we will thoughtfully incorporate them into one seamless, cohesive design. You may include a note during the checkout process with any customization requests or contact us in advance so we know which items you'd like us to include.
Do you offer displays for events such as open houses, birthday parties, corporate events, or Halloween celebrations for only a few days instead of the whole season?
Yes, absolutely! Please fill out our Custom Quote Form with details of the event and we will contact you to discuss a custom option to make your event memorable! We offer event installations from early September through the end of November and can customize the design to fit the space, style, and budget.
Do you offer pumpkin displays or centerpieces for weddings?
Yes, absolutely! Please visit our Weddings page to explore wedding design options and complete our wedding inquiry form. We will contact you via email within 48 hours to discuss design options, pricing, and next steps for your special day. We offer wedding designs and installations from early September through the end of November.
What happens to the pumpkins after the season?
If you choose to include our removal service, we donate them to local non-profit farms like Blue Iris Farm, where they’re enjoyed by many animals. It’s a thoughtful, sustainable way to extend the life of your display.
Will pumpkins, hay bales or mums leave behind stains?
Pumpkins, hay bales, and mums can occasionally leave marks or discoloration on certain surfaces due to exposure to moisture, rain, and prolonged contact. We take several precautions to help minimize this risk, including using basins under all mums and following best practices to help pumpkins last throughout the season. Hay bales can sometimes leave discoloration caused by natural tannins found in straw, which is often temporary. While we take care when designing and installing your display, Red Wagon Pumpkins cannot guarantee that staining will not occur. If you have specific concerns about your porch or surface materials, please let us know.
How far in advance should I book?
Our schedule fills up quickly! We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your date, as all orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Do you provide other payment options, such as payment upon delivery?
If you are interested in a different payment option, please fill out our Contact Form and we will contact you to setup an alternative payment option. Upon request, we accept a 50% booking deposit and a 50% payment at the time of delivery by cash, check, credit or debit card, Venmo, or PayPal.
